Doug Coppola


Douglas Coppola is the Managing Principal of Client First Advisors, LLC.  He has more than 40 years experience in the financial industry, working for some  the world's leading investment banks in the United States , Europe and the Middle East.  

Before founding Client First Advisors, LLC, in  2011  Doug was a Principal at Raymond James Financial, Inc.  Throughout his career he has held positions as a broker, General Partner  and investment advisor.He has worked for The First Boston Corporation, Morgan Stanley International,  Goldman Sachs & Co and Oppenheimer handing Institutional and private investors.  Doug has helped client's navigate varied investment climates over 4 decades.

Doug holds an M.B.A.  from New York University, and received a B.A. in Economics and English Literature from St. Peter's University,Jersey City,N.J.  He spent a semester at Hautes Etudes Commerciale in France and The London Business School in London as part of their International Management Program.

Doug and his wife, Mary Jo, have lived in Chapel Hill since 2009.  They enjoy the outdoors, the ocean, and the many delights  that North Carolina has to offer.

Mary Jo Coppola

Mary Jo is in Client Relations, she oversees CFA's world class and highly responsive client experience.  She also maintains compliance, and is responsible for making sure CFA is using the best and most current technology for the benefit of the firm, and ultimately the firm's clients.

John Coppola


John Coppola is a 20-year veteran of the financial services industry.  He joined Client First Advisors in May of 2014.  Previously, he was a Vice President with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, and also served as a Senior Portfolio Manager for a privately held investment company.  He gained a wealth of insurance experience as one of the founders of Garrett Easton Associates Agency of Verona ,N.J. John is a graduate of the University of Michigan studying Business and Communications.

John and his wife, Kirstin, live in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina with their four children.
